The Boatmaster course is a 30-hour, theory-only course providing in-depth knowledge of all aspects of boating safety. Whilst this is an excellent stand-alone course, the Boatmaster course is also a pre-requisite for the ‘Coastal Skipper’ and ‘Offshore Skipper’ courses, the more advanced Coastguard Boating Education qualifications.

The course fee includes Coastguard registration, student manual, exam fee and use of charts and navigation instruments.

  • This is a classroom based theory course, with no dress code requirements.
  • This is a theory course and is not weather dependent.
  • Next course is scheduled for Tuesday 4th September – and runs for five weeks, two evenings a week. Tuesday and Thursdays. 6.00pm till 9.00pm. 4th, 6th, 11th, 13th, 18th, 20th, 25th, 27th September and 2nd, 4th October.
