Learn to SUP

SUP is the world’s fastest growing water sport. It is great for fitness and couldn’t be easier to get in to. The best way to get into the sport is through our 1hr learn to Stand up paddleboard course. Everything you need is provided.

We also have an an adaptive seat and outriggers available for people with disabilities. Please contact us in advance if you’d like to take advantage of this equipment.

What to wear

Sports type clothing and in cooler weather warm layers and a jacket – be prepared to get wet so maybe a change of clothes. a wet Suit is an advantage[/tab]

Weather information

This course is weather dependent. We will go on-the-water if it is safe to do so, but if it too windy, too wet or too cold, then you will be notified and offer the option to reschedule or get a refund. Please check your email a couple of hours before the session commences.

Minimum Age

Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when participating in programmes or activities at the Wellington Ocean Sports Centre. Children aged 12 years and over can participate in SUP and kayaking. They must be actively supervised by a parent or guardian.
